Alan Rogers to Lead Goulburn Murray Region

Following the Annual General Meeting held at the Shepparton Park Bowls Club on the 24th May 2021, Alan Rogers from the Numurkah Bowling Club has been appointed as the Inaugural President of the newly formed Goulburn Murray Bowls Region. He was the previously the President of the now ceased Central Goulburn Murray Bowls Region and therefore will bring his years of experience with him to the new role.

Alan will be assisted by Secretary Stephen McGregor from the Seymour VRI Bowling Club and Treasurer Jenny Sutcliffe from the Numurkah Golf Bowls Club as well as a board of 6 fellow directors elected from the Regions Playing Areas;

Archie Ellis – Barooga Sports
Grace Kenworthy – Avenel
Joe  Luci – Numurkah Golf
Marj McDonald – Cobram

The region will be split into 2 designated Playing Areas – Goulburn Valley and Murray where clubs will play their Pennant and State Events with winners from the playing areas finally coming together to play in our Region finals in February/March with the winners going on to represent the region at the State Finals at Bendigo in April 2022.
