Murray Playing Area Mixed Pairs

It was great to see so many entries in the Murray Playing Area State Mixed Pairs this season. After two Sundays of competitive bowls at Berrigan in October, the final was still to be played. Due to other State Events this was not able to be scheduled until today.

In the semi-finals Ian Smethurst and Ruth Burnett of Barooga Sports had defeated John Dixon and Joy Mynard of Cobram 19-16, while Ray Parks and Jenny Warfe of Cobram had defeated Pam & Russell Smith, of Numurkah and Wunghnu clubs respectively, 19-7.

In the final today Ray and Jenny defeated Ian and Ruth 16-7.
