GV Playing Area State Fours
The finals of the Men’s and Ladies State Fours was completed at Shepparton Park Sunday October 9th. Again, thanks to Shepparton Park for the use of their facilities and Alan Davis for umpiring.
In the final of the Men played in the morning Tatura’s side of Brendan Boyd, Nick Boyd, Peter LeSuere (subbed for Brian Mandersloot) and Mitch Reeves defeated Shepparton Park side of Josh Warren, Paul Nichols, Paul Becroft and Paul Warren by one shot 18/17, winning the last 3 ends to score four shots.
The Ladies Fours final was a bit more one sided with the Shepparton Park girls of Di Hands, Marg Thorne, Sue Tyson and Kate Bush defeating Rushworth’s Jean Sprague, Lyn Nicholson, Sue Moreton and Mavis Marshall 29/9. earlier Jrean Sprague defeated Hill Top’s Jeanette Overall 22/11.
The Region Fours were to be on Sunday November 6th at a venue in the GV however due to weather disruptions there will be a new date decided.
